Homeland
"Homeland" is an exploration of the rural Alabama plains. I grew up in central Alabama with the plains farmland being a staple of my visual vocabulary. As an adult, I moved to North Alabama, which has its own beauties, but my heart often longs for the open plains of my childhood. I am reminded of the farmland parcels divided by lines of trees and enjoy painting these landscapes as a remembrance of home.
