This is an en plein air painting that I painted on a hiking trail this summer on a family trip to Glacier National Park, using transparent inks. I was struck by the color of the water and the colors and lines in the glacially-shaped rocks on the cliff faces. There were dramatic light and shadows made by the texture of the cliff walls.
