Off the Beaten Path

This is my watercolor painting of an old home that is still standing in Pike Road, Alabama, where I live. Every time I pass by this old homestead, I imagine its years gone by and the people who lived there. I noticed that the wallpaper had trains on it - perhaps reminiscent of the trains that have run along the old tracks nearby. It is old and dilapidated; but I see it as a historical site and appreciate its beauty.
